Radiant light
Throughout the dungeon, you’ll get the Radiant light buff, allowing you to mount up and fly. Prefer steady flight over dynamic flight to ensure better control of your landings and to prevent air pulling in Mereldar.
First and last boss intermissions require you to refresh this buff by flying through light orbs. On Rasha’nan, you can simply fly to his P2 platform and take advantage of the light provided by the NPC while you wait for the boss to land.

Shadowcrown : Boss
Strategy
— KICK shadow bolt.
— Stay in melee range to easily DODGE Obsidian beam – MITIGATE▲ the initial damage.
— DISPELL burning shadows and HEAL▲ through shadow shroud.
—The tank is a valid target for the absorb, so try not to dispell just before obsidian beam – it has to be dispelled and healed through before intermission though.
— DEPACK if targeted by a collapsing night beam to drop it away – don’t stack them !
— Mount up and flee during darkness comes and collect Light fragment to prevent Activating rift.
— Intermissions happen at 50 and 0% HP – the boss dies at the end of the cast but you can already head down to Mereldar for the next part.
Lieutenants
Anub’ikkaj benefits from Empowered might, increasing his damage by 30% and HP by 50% per lieutenant still alive when you engage him.
— Lieutenants have a common skill (abyssal blast) and a special ability that the boss will gain after they are defeated :
– dark orb (Iken’tak) which need to be baited and dodged.
– terrifying slam (Ixkreten) on the tank, which must be dodged.
– shadowy decay (Vis’coxria) which needs to be mitigated and outhealed.
— Fight Iken’tak and the boss on an open area where the player targeted by dark orb will be able to bait it so that it travels as far as possible before exploding; reducing the damage dealt by the impact.
The orb explodes on contact with the SLIGHTEST obstacle: players, houses, a gnome’s toe, a blade of grass, a tiny cobblestone, your fragile ego…

— BAIT the dark orb on an open area.
— DODGE terrifying slam and PLAN▲ the bump ahead.
— HEAL/DEF▲ during shadowy decay.
— Get closer to melee if targeted by animate shadows.
— Take AGGRO▲ on the adds summoned by animate shadows and KICK congealed darkness.

Stage one: The Dawnbreaker
— CLICK▲ the arathi bombs and use your extra-button to throw it on the boss – require melee range.
— sparking arathi bomb pulses damage on the party while a bomb is carried – use movespeed CDs to shorten it.
— rolling acid rolls in the direction the waves point to – PLACE it so that you don’t catch any other player in it.
— DEF/HEAL▲ during erosive spray.
— DODGE expel webs.
Intermission: Escape!
Wait to be buffed with Radiant light to mount up and fly directly to the last platform.
Stage two: The Veneration Grounds
— KCIK Acid eruption.
— DEPACK▲ with Spinerret’s strands to PLACE the sticky webs aside – preferably on the same side.
— Spinerret’s websnap deals damage to all players when targets move out of the webs – try not to break them at the same time.
— Acid waves clean sticky webs and replace them with acid pools.
— Keep melee clean to easily dodge DODGE tacky burst.
— Fight ends when the boss reaches 60% HP.
